Sheridan Mavericks Lacrosse Wins Championship: The spring sports season will conclude this weekend, but one Sheridan County team has already won a championship.
The Sheridan Mavericks won the Montana High School Lacrosse Association JV Championship, by defeating both the Bozeman and Jackson JV teams.
The team went undefeated on the season and it’s their first championship in their 5 year history.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Soccer: The Sheridan boys won the 4A East Regional Tournament this past weekend in Cheyenne.
The Broncs won games against both Campbell County and Cheyenne Central to claim the #1 seed out of the east.
Meanwhile, the Lady Broncs placed 3rd at the same tournament.

Both the Buffalo boys and girls are the #1 seed out of the East as well.
The state tournaments begins this coming Thursday at Gillette.
The Sheridan boys will take on Riverton at 11am at Thunder Basin.
The Sheridan girls go up against defending 4A State Champ Jackson at 9am at Campbell County.
In the 3A brackets, the Buffalo boys play at 11am vs. Powell, while the girls play at 9am against Mountain View.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Track and Field: Sheridan and Johnson County High School teams were at various regional meets this past weekend.
The Sheridan boys were first and the girls 2nd at the 4A East Regional Meet at Cheyenne East.
The Big Horn boys and girls won the 2A East meet in Torrington, while both teams from Buffalo won the 3A East meet at Glenrock.
The state meet begins this coming Thursday in Casper.
Sheridan HS Softball: The season has come to an end for Sheridan ahead of the state tournament.
The Lady Broncs lost to both Natrona County and Thunder Basin this past Friday at the North Regional Tournament in Gillette.
Sheridan finishes the 2026 season with a record of 20-9-1.
Sheridan Troopers Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers won both games yesterday at home vs. Cody 8-zip and 11-10.
The team is next scheduled to play at a round robin event in Gillette.
The Troopers will play 1 game on Friday, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Memorial Day.
Sheridan’s next home game is scheduled for Sunday, May 31st vs. Powell.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost 2 out of 3 games this past weekend at home vs. Arizona.
The Rocks lost on Friday 9-1.
Hunter Goodman provided the 1 on a solo home run.
Colorado won on Saturday 4-2, but lost the rubber game of the series yesterday 8-6.
The Rockies start a 3-game series today at home vs. Texas.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Western Conference Finals are set.
The Colorado Avalanche will take on Las Vegas in a best of 7 series, for the right to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.
The Avs host Game 1 and Game 2 on Wednesday and Friday respectively.
The Eastern Conference finals will be set tonight.
Montreal and Buffalo play in Game 7, beginning at 5:30pm.
The winner heads to Carolina, who have been waiting for more than 1 week for an opponent.
NBA Playoffs: Cleveland manhandled Detroit last night at Detroit, 125-94 in Game 7 of their 2nd round best of 7 series.
The Cavaliers win the series 4-3 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, which starts tomorrow at New York.
Meanwhile, Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals is today, as San Antonio visits Oklahoma City.
Tip off is scheduled for 6:30pm.
