Sheridan HS Boys and Girls Soccer: The Sheridan High School Soccer Teams start their 2nd run through the 4A East Conference this weekend.

The Broncs sit in 1st place in the 4A East with a 5-0-1 conference record.

Junior Liam Weber explains what went right in the first half of the season.

Meanwhile, the Lady Broncs lost their first conference game in nearly 2 years, last week at home vs. Thunder Basin.

Head Coach Josh Dube says the girls have not spent much time dwelling on that, and have been getting to work on preparing for the rematches.

Sheridan plays Laramie today and Cheyenne South tomorrow.

The boys play on the road and the girls are at home.

For the Lady Broncs, tomorrow’s game will be played at Big Horn, due to the track meet.

Buffalo HS Boys and Girls Soccer: The Buffalo girls won yesterday at home vs. Newcastle 5-nil.

There was no boys game, because the Dogies do not have a team.

Today is a big day as the Bison and Lady Bison host Cody for a double-header beginning at 3pm.

The Fillies are last year’s 3A state champs, and as for the boys game, it’s a rematch of last year’s state championship game, that Buffalo won in a shootout.

Sheridan HS Softball: Sheridan lost both ends of a double-header yesterday at Thunder Basin.

The Lady Broncs are scheduled to play at home today vs. defending state champ Campbell County, weather permitting.

Start times are at 4 and 6pm.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Track and Field: Sheridan is scheduled to host the Dan Hansen Invitational tomorrow, starting at 10am.

Big Horn, Tongue River and Buffalo are among the teams scheduled to compete.

Kaycee’s home meet scheduled for today has been postponed.

The Mavs take on Bozeman today at 5pm and Butte tomorrow at 9am.

The Lady Mavericks have this weekend off from competition.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers are hosting a 3-team round robin event this weekend.

The team is scheduled to take on the Casper Oilers tomorrow at 11am and Helena, Montana at 5pm.

On Sunday, they play Helena at 10am and Casper at 4pm.

You can watch all of those games LIVE on Sheridan Media TV, which is on the front page of the sheridanmedia.com website.

James Timberlake and Shane Parker will have the LIVE radio play-by-play call on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Sheridan College Rodeo: The regular season for the Central Rocky Mountain region concludes this weekend in Laramie.

The top 3 in the point standings after this weekend qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo, which takes place in June at Casper.

The top 2 teams are also invited, and the Sheridan College men’s team is in 2nd place heading into this weekend’s competition.

University of Wyoming Spring Football Game: The Brown and Gold Spring Game for the University of Wyoming Football team is tomorrow.

Start time is scheduled for 1pm inside War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.

Pokes Head Coach Jay Sawvel says the format for the game is that the defense will start out with a 21-zip lead, and the offense has to play catch up all game long.

The only ways that the defense can get more points is through a pick 6, a scoop and score, or a safety.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies gave up 5 runs in the top of the 9th inning and lost the rubber game of their 3-game series at home vs. San Diego 10-8.

Mickey Moniak hit 2 solo home runs, but those efforts were wasted by the bullpen.

The Rocks start a 6-game road trip today, with the first of 3 games at the New York Mets.

First pitch today is scheduled for 5:10pm.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 2:10pm, and Sunday’s game at 11:40am.

Denver Nuggets Basketball/NBA Playoffs: The Denver Nuggets got clobbered last night in game 3 of their first round best of 7 series last night at Minnesota 113-96.

An 11-point first quarter was the main reason the team now trails in the series 2-games to 1.

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Minnesota, beginning at 6:30pm.

Other games from yesterday saw Atlanta win at home vs. New York 109-108 to take a 2-1 series lead.

Toronto won at home vs. Cleveland 126-104, but trail in the series 2-to-1.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche went on the road last night and doubled-up LA 4-2, in Game 3 of their first round best of 7 series.

The Avs will try for the sweep on the road on Sunday, starting at 2:30pm.

In yesterday’s games, Buffalo won at Boston 3-1, to take a 2-1 series lead, and Carolina won at Ottawa 2-1, to up 3-zip.
