Wyoming High School Boys Swimming State Meet 2026: The 4A Boys State Swimming and Diving State Meet is underway in Cheyenne, and several Sheridan Bronc swimmers will compete in the finals this morning.
Senior Ben Forsythe is in 1st place after the preliminary round of both the 50 meter freestyle and the 100 meter breaststroke races.
He is attempting to 3-peat as state champ in both events.
Sheridan’s 200 meter freestyle relay team is in 3rd place, and the 400 meter freestyle relay team is in 6th.
The finals are scheduled to begin at 10am.
Later today at 4pm will be the preliminaries of the 3A State competition.
Those finals are tomorrow, also at 10am.
Sheridan County HS Basketball: This is the final weekend of the regular season for 2A and 1A teams.
The Sheridan boys and girls, which are 4A teams, have 2 games remaining, and will play 1 today and 1 next week.
Today’s games are at Campbell County.
The girls game tips off at 6pm and the boys games will follow.

Elsewhere in Sheridan County, tonight is senior night at Big Horn as the Rams and Lady Rams host Wright, beginning at 5:30pm.
Tongue River is at Moorcroft today and at home vs. Sundance tomorrow starting at 2:30pm.
Arvada-Clearmont plays a pair of home games this weekend.
The Panthers and Lady Panthers play Kaycee today, with the girls game tipping off first at 3pm.
A-C is also home tomorrow vs. Midwest, beginning at 1pm.
Johnson County High School Basketball: Buffalo is at home today vs. Douglas.
Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
The Bison and Lady Bison are scheduled to play 2 more games next weekend to close the regular season.
Kaycee is at Arvada-Clearmont today to play their last game, before next weekend’s regional tournament.
Wyoming High School Regional Wrestling Tournaments: Regional tournaments will be held in various locations.
All of the boys tournaments are today only.
The Sheridan boys are at the 4A East Regional Meet at Thunder Basin.
The Tongue River boys are at the 2A East Regional Meet at Wright, and the Buffalo boys are at the 3A East Regional Meet at Glenrock.
The Girls East Regional Meet is scheduled for today and tomorrow at Douglas.
Sheridan Lady Hawk Amateur Hockey: The Sheridan girls play their final 4 home and regular season games this weekend, against the 2 teams ahead of them in the standings.
The 2-time defending state champ Lady Hawks go up against Pinedale today at 7pm and tomorrow at 9am.
Jackson also visits Sheridan starting at 6pm tomorrow and at 9:30am on Sunday.
University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are on the road tomorrow against Grand Canyon University.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
The Wyoming Cowgirls host Round 2 of the Border War tomorrow in Laramie against Colorado State.
That game is scheduled to begin at 2pm and it can be heard LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets were down by 3 points in the final seconds on the road against the LA Clippers last night.
Jamal Murray was fouled on a 3 at the buzzer.
He made the first 2 free throws, but missed the 3rd, and Denver would lose 115-114.
The Nuggets are next scheduled to play today at Portland, starting at 8pm, and on Sunday at Golden State beginning at 1:30pm.
Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The pre-season starts this weekend for all 30 teams.
The Colorado Rockies play today at home vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10pm.
The 2 teams are scheduled to play each other again tomorrow at Arizona, with another 1:10pm start time.
On Sunday, the Rocks are scheduled to play at Texas, starting at 1:05pm.
