Sheridan HS Basketball: The Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs are entering a favorable portion of their schedule.

Including today, they have 5 games remaining in the regular season, and 4 of those 5 games are at home, plus they host the 4A East Regional Tournament.

Today Sheridan hosts Cheyenne South.

The girls game tips off at 5:30pm and the boys game will follow.

Tomorrow Laramie is in town beginning at 11:30am.

You can hear today’s and tomorrow’s games LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9FM, plus we will have a LIVE video stream on sheridanmedia.com and on the Sheridan Media Facebook page.

Tongue River, Big Horn and Arvada-Clearmont HS Basketball: Tongue River plays at home today, as they host a double-header vs. Wright beginning at 5pm.

Big Horn plays at Sundance today starting at 5:30pm and will be home against Moorcroft tomorrow at 1:30pm.

Last night the Arvada-Clearmont girls lost at home vs. Upton 67-20.

The boys game was canceled due to illness within A-C.

Both teams are scheduled to play today at Hulett beginning at 4pm.

Sheridan County HS Wrestling: Last night was senior night as the Broncs and Lady Broncs won duals vs. Campbell County.

Next week is the regional tournament.

The Sheridan boys will be at the 4A East Regional Tournament at Campbell County, while the Tongue River boys will host the 2A East Regional Tournament.

Since there is only 1 class in girls wrestling, both Sheridan and Tongue River will compete at the East Regional Tournament at Torrington.

Sheridan HS Nordic Ski: The Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs are scheduled to race today and tomorrow at Lander.

Sheridan County HS Indoor Track and Field: Sheridan and Big Horn will compete today at Gillette.

Tongue River has made a change to their schedule and instead of competing tomorrow at Natrona, the Eagles and Lady Eagles will head to Gillette as well.

Sheridan HS Boys Swimming: Sheridan has this week off to prepare for the upcoming state meet.

To qualify for the state meet, you must beat a certain time at any meet during the season, or if you’re a diver, you must beat a certain score.

This week, just about every other team participated in last chance meets, which simply put, if there’s an event that a swimmer has not yet qualified in for the state meet, this is their last chance to do so.

Coach Brent Moore says his philosophy is if someone couldn’t beat the qualifying mark at last weekend’s conference meet, when they’ve had all season to do so, it’s not worth stressing themselves out over it this week, especially if there’s other events that a swimmer had already qualified for.

The 4A state meet is next week Thursday and Friday at Laramie.

University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys have the weekend off from competition and are back in action on Wednesday at home vs. Utah State.

The Wyoming Cowgirls play tomorrow at Boise State.

Tip-off is scheduled for 1pm and you can hear that game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.

Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at the LA Lakers 114-106.

The Nuggets are back in action tonight at Sacramento.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: Last night the Colorado Avalanche dropped their 3rd straight game on their Eastern Conference Road trip, losing at Carolina 5-2.

The Avs play again tomorrow at Florida.

Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks have a huge mountain to climb if they want to make the playoffs.

The team plays tonight and tomorrow at 1st place Helena, which is the only team that the Hawks have not yet visited.

Coach J.J. Santagata says his team has not played Helena since the second week of the season back in September and a lot has changed since then, but adds that he has a pretty good idea as to what kind of atmosphere to expect up there.

Sheridan is currently 3 points behind in the chase for the final playoff spot.

Sheridan Hosting Girls Hockey State Tournament: Today, tomorrow and Sunday, Sheridan is hosting the Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association under-19 girls hockey state tournament at the M-and-M’s Center.

The Lady Hawks are the #1 seed in the 5-team A-League Bracket and play this morning at 8:45 vs. Miles City, Montana and again tomorrow at 1:15pm vs. Cody.

Jackson and Pinedale will also be competing, and there is a separate B-League tournament going on as well.

Sunday’s championship schedule will be dependent on results from today and tomorrow.
