Sheridan Girls Golf Team Wins 2nd 4A State Title In 3 Years; Tongue River Boys 3rd In 2A

The Sheridan girls golf team had four golfers in the top 8, and overcame a 10-shot deficit after the first day, to win the 2023 4A Girls Golf State Championship at the Powder Horn Golf Club.
It’s their 2nd state championship in 3 years.
Trailing 256-266 vs. Natrona after the first day of competition, the Lady Broncs outshot the Fillies 245-272 on the second day to win by 17 strokes.
Gabi Wright (State runner-up, by 1 shot behind the winner), Shelbi Gardner (3rd place…2 shots behind the winner), Camryn Wagner (6th) and Chloe Jorgenson (tied for 7th), all won all-state honors which goes to anyone who places in the top 10.

Garrett Spielman finished in a 3-way tie for 5th, as the Sheridan boys placed 8th out of 9 teams.

Baylie May of Tongue River placed 4th at the 2A State Meet at Newcastle.

Braxton Tremain of Tongue River finished as state runner-up, while Easton Lewis and Liam O’Harra placed 7th and 9th respectively, to lead the Eagles to a 3rd Place finish.
