Sheridan County High School Volleyball Results: August 31 – September 2, 2023

Sheridan and Big Horn played at the Gillette Invitational, while Tongue River was at the Wind River Invitational.

Sheridan:

The Lady Broncs went 3-3 at the Gillette Invitational and finished as runners-up in the bronze bracket.

In pool play on Friday, Sheridan lost vs. Rapid City, SD Christian 2-0 (25-17, 25-14), then won vs. 3A Glenrock 2-0 (25-13, 25-14), then lost vs. Scottsbluff, NE 2-0 (25-20, 25-15)

In bracket play on Saturday, the Lady Broncs beat 3A Glenrock again 2-0 (25-13, 25-7) and beat 2A Sundance 2-1 (24-26, 27-26, 15-11), but lost to 3A Wheatland in the championship match 2-0 (25-18, 25-18)

Sheridan is 5-5 on the season and the team is next schedule to start 4A Northeast Quadrant play at home on Friday, September 8th vs. Natrona.

The Lady Broncs are also scheduled to host Cody on Saturday

Big Horn:

BH went 3-3 at the Gillette Invitational and finished 5th in the silver bracket.

In pool play on Friday, the Lady Rams lost vs. 4A Thunder Basin 2-0 (25-19, 25-20), then beat Rapid City, SD St. Thomas More 2-0 (25-16, 25-19), then lost vs. 3A Douglas 2-1 (unknown scores).

In bracket play on Saturday, Big Horn lost vs. Rapid City, SD Stevens 2-1 (25-21, 25-18), then beat Wright in a non-quadrant game 2-0 (25-14, 25-15), and beat 4A Cheyenne Central 2-1 (25-15, 12-25, 15-11).

BH is 7-5 on the season and is scheduled to host the Big Horn Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 8th and 9th.

Tongue River:

TR went 4-2 at the Wind River Invitational, played at both Wind River and Wyoming Indian High Schools.

On Friday, the Lady Eagles defeated Wind River 2-0 (25-10, 25-12), then lost vs. Greybull 2-1 (25-15, 18-25, 25-12), and lost vs. 1A Dubois 2-1 (25-18, 20-25, 15-13).

On Saturday, Tongue River defeated Shoshoni 2-0 (25-23, 25-9), Wyoming Indian 2-0 (25-13, 25-12) and 1A Saratoga 2-0 (25-14, 25-20)

TR is 6-3-2 on the season and is scheduled to participate in the Big Horn Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 8th and 9th.

Arvada-Clearmont:

The Lady Panthers lost on Thursday at home vs. Upton 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-11), and lost on Saturday at Midwest vs. Rock River 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-11).

A-C is 0-3 on the season, with an 0-2 record in the 1A Northeast.

They are next scheduled to play on Thursday, September 7th at home vs. Buffalo’s JV team.
