SHERIDAN AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Jets won their district tournament opener Wednesday, the tournament suffered through rain Thursday and got only one game in after a 5 hour rain delay.
The Jets game with Douglas was rained out and they will play today.
The Jets know they are already bound for the state tournament as they get an automatic bid for being the host team the “A” tournament will start Wednesday on “Rotellini field” at Thorne-Rider stadium.
The Sheridan Cavalry opened the state “B” tournament last night in Rock Springs, they beat the host team 13-1, they will play Cheyenne tonight in the winners bracket.
The Sheridan Troopers will be the number one seed at next weeks state “AA” state tournament they will open up against Rock Springs Monday afternoon at 1:00, we will have the game live for on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.
FALL SPORTS – The 2023-24 school sports season is just weeks away from starting all class 4-A football teams open preseason camp August 7th with all other programs starting a week later.
All junior high and high school athletes must have sports physicals completed before they will be aloud to participate in any preseason workouts,
Sheridan high school Activities Director Casey Garnhart says it’s amazing how fast summer goes.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies open a weekend series at Miami tonight that will start a six game road trip that will conclude in Washington against the Nationals.
First pitch this evening is at 4:40 you can hear Rockies baseball on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
