Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER – The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams closed out the regular season at Thunder Basin high school the Broncs came away with a 2-1 victory while the Lady Broncs lost 3-1.

The post season for soccer starts Thursday in Cheyenne the Broncs open the regional tournament with Cheyenne East the Lady Broncs open with Campbell county.

TRACK / FIELD – Regional track and field meets start Friday the Broncs and Lady Broncs will be at their regional in Laramie, Arvada / Clearmont, Big Horn and Tongue River will have their regional over in Newcastle.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers picked up their 5th straight win Saturday and sport a record of 6-1 overall after knocking off the Billings Expos 10-1 they broke open a close game with 4 runs in the 7th and 3 more in the 8th.

Head coach Ben Phillips said it was another good day for the Troopers.

Defense ruled the day with both teams making some great plays.

And when they broke the game open late is was timely hitting and good base running that got it done.

The Troops host a double header with Powell Saturday at 1:00

GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will host an invitational tomorrow then close out the spring season with their conference meet at Kendrick golf course a week from today.
