BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER – The Sheridan high school soccer teams will host a varsity double header this evening against Thunder Basin the boys game leads off at 4:00.
They get into league play Friday and Saturday with games against Laramie and Cheyenne South the Lady Broncs will play at home and a reminder Saturday’s games with South will be played at Big Horn high school at 10:00 and noon.
TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers will open their baseball season this weekend they play in Gillette Saturday and Sunday they will play two with the Billings Royals Saturday and another double header Sunday against the Billings Scarlets.
Head coach Ben Phillips says it’s nice to be looking forward to finally getting the schedule started.
And he says the arms look good and all the pitchers are ready to take the mound.
And he says playing the Billings teams this weekend is a great way to start the season.
TRACK AND FIELD – The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will head to Rapid City for a meet today to make up for the loss of the Billings event last week.
They are scheduled weather permitting to host their next two events the annual Dan Hansen invitational is set for Saturday and next week on Tuesday the Gary Benson Border War meet with the big schools from Billings will be held.
LADY BRONC TRACK (LOI) – One Sheridan high school track and field senior has ‘thrown’ her way into an athletic scholarship.
Hanah Sullivan, who competes in the shot put and discus competitions, has signed her letter of intent (LOI) to continue throwing at Black Hills state University.
She placed 4th in the shot put at the state indoor meet back in March, and was 5th in the discus at the state outdoor meet last year.
Sullivan says there’s a lot more to the shot put and discus events than just throwing a lot at practice.
GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will tee it up in Buffalo Friday.
TENNIS – The Sheridan high school tennis players will play in Casper Saturday.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies beat Philadelphia 4-1 last night they play again tonight first pitch at 6:40 you can hear Rockies baseball on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
