Janis Wyman, a cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024. Known for her radiant smile and compassionate heart, Janis had a unique way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. She was a source of warmth and comfort, just like her beautiful quilts. She brought joy and positivity wherever she went. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her love into every relationship, creating deep and lasting connections that will be treasured forever.
Janis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy that will remain in the hearts of her friends, family, quilt club community, and neighbors. How lucky we were to have someone who makes saying goodbye so hard. As we remember her, we take comfort in imagining her spirit flying high with the angels. Fly high, Janis—you are one of them now.
Janis is survived by her husband John Wyman, daughters Abranda Blakeman and Kelly Fowler, grandchildren Johnathan, Jason, Alex, Chase, Cameron, Beau, Blaine, Gracie, Elizabeth, Emma, great-grandchildren Faith, Willow, Bucklee, Riley Fowler, sister Gerry Schumacher, brother Mark Williams and his wife Monetta Williams, sister-in-law Mary Williams, nieces Nikki Womble, Lynette Schumacher, Melissa Smith, and Mallory Young, Crystal Williams Karlson, nephews Aaron and Bret Schumacher, Dustin Williams, cousins Doug and Ted Williams.
Janis is preceded in death by her mother Nadine Williams, father Jerry Williams, and brother Steve “Butch” Williams, mother-in-law Florence Wyman, grandson Kingston Brimmer.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
