Cold temps close dump stations for the season

According to the Bighorn National Forest, facility engineers worked last week to repair a broken water main at Burgess Dump Station on the Tongue Ranger District out of Sheridan. It reopened for the weekend. However, it is now the time of year with imminent cold weather looming to close the dump stations for the season. Burgess Dump Station will close Thursday, Sept. 16.

Leigh Creek dump station on the Powder River Ranger District between Buffalo and Ten Sleep. will close Wednesday, Sept 15.  The BNF asks the public to please make other arrangements to dump their camper or RV after staying on the forest.
