The Libertarain Party and Wyoming NORML are holding a number of kick-off events around the state over the next couple of days for the medical cannabis and cannabis reform initiatives. We do not need or want this and what comes with it! Talk to people who moved here from CO and what has happened there! Another sun wanting to be celebrated! WRONG!!!

Is this a Democrat initiative; I know Ms. Arnoux is the Sheridan County Democrat party chairwoman?
I lived in Billings, Montana, when the medical marijuana was passed. I am embarrassed to admit that I voted yes for it. There was a big media campaign featuring “sympathetic looking individuals” with they’re sad stories. I thought well, “it’s just for MEDICAL use.”
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Within days of approval we had pot shops springing up all over town. These facilities resemble the appearance of pawn shops NOT medical offices. They are not dispensed by medical practioners
    , not even pharmacists.
Some idiot put his marijuana store across the street from Will James Middle School and one of the LDS temples….. needless to say, parents and the general public had a fit and then a city ordinance was passed that banned pot stores from city limits.
Also, bus loads (old orange school buses) of out of town people were bused to a Billings hotel convention center and stood in line to pay the medical doctor ( also licensed, but from out of town) $500.00 a prescription for medical marijuana.
Everyr legislative session from then on, national marijuana advocacy groups , would descend on Montana and flood the media with recreational marijuana ads. Most disturbing, the national groups would sue the state for more pro marijuana rights and the taxpayers would have to pay for defense against the lawsuits.
It took 17 years for pro marijuana rights to include recreational use in Montana but these groups are relentless and have deep pockets.
Wyoming is already suffering budget cuts and I don’t see how spending taxpayer money on lawsuits will help.
Please don’t say marijuana will bring in money to the state …. there’s tons of documentation to prove it’s offset by more funding needed for police and increased petty crime.

I’d rather have medical cannabis user work for me rather then a raging alcoholic. Facts.
