Fire crews from both Wyoming and Montana are trying to put out a wildland fire, near the border line of both states.

According to Ranchester Fire Captain Jeff Barron, a call came in just after 6pm on Monday, July 19th, for a grass fire along I-90 near mile post 551, which is about 3-to-4 miles north of the Wyoming-Montana border line.

Crews from Ranchester, and Dayton along with Bighorn County, MT, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and padlock ranch crews responded and found a wind driven fire heading westward.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
