Monitoring the Situation
In early December, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon signed an executive order mandating mask use in certain situations statewide in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Wyoming. On March 16, Gordon lifted the mask mandate and removed all restrictions, allowing bars, restaurants, theaters and gyms to resume normal operations. Governor Gordon, in a recent interview with Sheridan Media, talked about what factored into his decision to rescind the mask mandate and business restrictions.
Gordon said they will continue to closely monitor the situation with summer approaching and the variant strains of the virus that are circulating throughout the country.
The number of new cases and hospitalizations in the state peaked in late November and both have been steadily declining since that time.
