The Hub on Smith’s Day Break Adult Day Services is raising awareness about its community-based adult day program designed to help older adults remain active, engaged and living independently at home.

Program Coordinator Ana Gale and Director of Operations Nick Little made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the social-model program and how it provides structured daytime activities, social interaction and support for participants and caregivers, while, according to Little, provides both independence to the clients and reassurance to those who love and care for them.

Gale said Day Break offers activities including games, exercise, arts and crafts, music and community outings while also providing respite and peace of mind for family caregivers.

Little and Gale invite the public to take a tour of Day Break. With CNAs on staff to ensure medical care is provided, caregivers can utilize the program as needed for respite, errands or to ensure the person they care for can remain active and social well in their Golden Years.
