Sheridan County Woman Arraigned in District Court on Multiple Charges
A Sheridan County woman was arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court Thursday on multiple charges. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
On December 30, 2025, deputies with the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in Ranchester just before 7:30 pm for a reported physical altercation between Charla Dillon and another individual. According to the affidavit of probable cause, after law enforcement arrived on scene, Dillon allegedly became combative towards deputies when questioned about the altercation and continued to resist and act erratically, ultimately punching one of the deputies in the face. She was arrested and booked into the Sheridan County Detention Center on a number of charges related to the incident.
Dillon, at an arraignment hearing in District Court Thursday, pleaded not guilty to one count of felony interference with a peace officer, two counts of misdemeanor interference with a peace officer, one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of misdemeanor unlawful contact. District Court Judge Ben Kirven said a notice for the trial date and pretrial conference will be sent to legal counsel in the near future. Dillon’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Sheridan County Circuit Court. If convicted on all five charges, Dillon faces up to 13 years in prison and fines of up to $13,500.
