The Fireworks celebrate “Independence Day”….not the date, which is incidental. We celebrate the fact that Americans declared their Independence from England. That we are and of right ought to be self-governing, NOT under an outside authority. We should always celebrate Independence! Would we wish someone a Merry 25th of December? Of course not. We should always honor, Commemorate and celebrate our Independence, and never forget the reason for the day, or the sacrifices made to bestow Freedom to Americans.
