Many families trick-or-treat in the earlier hours of the evening. Many this year will begin the season early as the Downtown Sheridan Association has reinstated the Monster Mash, a trick-or-treating event held downtown with business owners handing out candy.
DSA Executive Director Zoila Perry announced the Monster Mash and said participating businesses will have a way to easily identify themselves.

The Friends of the Sheridan County Library will hold the Fall Festival that same day. The event will feature plenty of games and activities for kids including pumpkin tic-tac-toe, giant jenga and more. Proceeds from a silent pie auction will go to the Friends of the Library to help their effort in furthering the Sheridan County Library System’s mission.
Friends of the Library Fall Fest will begin at 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday Oct. 26, at the Fulmer Library in Sheridan.
With Halloween falling on a Thursday this year, many families may be participating in events such as these. But plenty of children will still take to the streets on Halloween night. The SPD Lieutenant gave a few safety tips for everyone who will be out that evening.
