City Eying Purchase of Refurbished Sanitation Truck

The City of Sheridan may soon be purchasing a rebuilt/refurbished automated front-load sanitation truck. City staff are recommending that the Mayor and City Council award a bid to Terrific Trucks and Equipment Sales LLC for a refurbished automated front-load sanitation truck in the amount of $144,175. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts said the truck will be a nice addition to the City fleet.

Roberts said that the City currently services approximately 6,500 residential customers weekly, and 970 commercial customers multiple times per week, and that the sanitation trucks are specialized pieces of equipment that play a critical role in supporting the provision of essential public services both on the streets and alleyways. The Council is expected to consider the bid award at an upcoming business meeting.
