Director Amy Long made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public pulse to discuss the Sheridan County Library System’s new strategic plan.
A strategic plan is an organization’s guide of direction, policy making and decision making process. The plan also guides the use of resources and sets priorities for spending.
Long said receiving feedback from the communities being served by the system is a priority for library leadership but in the case of the strategic plan, the timeline did not allow for requests and responses.

The four initiatives that the Sheridan County Library System will use to guide the direction of the organization in the foreseeable future are community outreach, organizational structure, financial stability and situational awareness and preparedness.
