Kennon Honored with 2024 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics

A business headquartered in Sheridan recently received a prestigious award. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Kennon Products of Sheridan, a leading designer and manufacturer of protective solutions for military aviation and healthcare industries, has been honored with the 2024 Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for ethics. The award was bestowed by the BBB serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming.

Now in its 26th year, the BBB Torch Awards celebrates organizations exemplifying exceptional ethical standards in their business practices. Selected through a rigorous evaluation process based on the Torch Awards Criteria, nominees are identified by peers, colleagues, and customers, with application papers prepared by Ethics Scholar Interns from the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Wyoming. A distinguished panel of independent judges then selects the honorees.

Commenting on the prestigious award, Kennon CEO Becky Cooper said integrity is at the heart of Kennon’s core values, making the award particularly meaningful to them. She said it underscores their unwavering commitment to ethical conduct in every facet of their operations.  Kennon Products was founded in 1984 and is an employee owned ESOP company with a workforce of 60 employees at its facility in north Sheridan.  Kennon also won the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in 2015. Kennon is the only two-time winner in the state of Wyoming.
