Aaron PalmerA Homeland Security Grant has been approved and accepted by the Johnson County Commission, at the request of County Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly.
She explained the reason for the grant and what the funds will be used for.
Connolly said the grant funding is for $14,000.
She also mentioned two other Homeland Security Grants that she has been notified that were approved that she will be bringing before the commission in the near future, one for “soft-target crowd control project,” for $6,000; and the second is for a “joint information center” or JIC project.
