Life Saving Award Presented to SPD Officers

Sheridan Police Department Corporal Curtis Jorgensen and Officer Brad Wood were recently recognized for their life-saving efforts on June 30, 2022. Sheridan Police Chief Travis Koltiska presented Jorgensen and Wood with a Life-Saving Medal for their life-saving measures taken that evening. Chief Koltiska explains what happened after the officers arrived at a home in response to a request for a welfare check.

Koltiska said it was clear and decisive actions by Corporal Jorgensen and Officer Wood that saved the individual’s life. SPD Sergeant Nevada Krinkee submitted the recommendation to administrative staff to recognize the two officers for their life-saving measures.
