Local Working Group announces sage grouse meeting

The Northeast Wyoming Sage Grouse Local Working Group will hold a meeting Monday, Aug. 24 beginning at 2 p.m. 

Due to continued concerns with COVID-19 the meeting will be conducted via ZOOM video conferencing, according to a WYG&F press release. The working group is comprised of 11 local citizens, representing groups interested in sage grouse conservation. The role of the group is to develop and set in motion a local conservation plan to benefit sage grouse and, whenever feasible, other species that use sagebrush habitats.

A meeting agenda is being finalized and will include a review of conservation projects submitted for funding, according to the release.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and a public participation period is scheduled at 2 p.m.
