Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team Sweeps Series At Butte; Preparing For 3-Game Home Weekend

For the first time this season, the Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey team won both games on a weekend, and are now preparing for a busier one at home.

The team won both games this past weekend at Butte, by scores of 3-2 in a 1-0 shootout, and 6-2.

Caden Gleason scored a hat trick in the second game and says the offense is starting to get it together, thanks in part to new coaching.

“Honestly I just like we kind of working good as a team right now, trust my line mates. We’re all working good, working hard, so that’s kind of all I give it to. Zach’s (Monaco) a great coach, giving us a lot of structure and just kind of believing in all of us. He cares about all of us and so it hasn’t been too much of a change because we all believe in him and we put our trust in him.”

Sheridan returns home for a rare 3-game weekend starting on Thursday (October 29th) against Rapid City, which they will also play on Friday.

Great Falls comes to town for 1 game on Saturday.

New Head Coach Zach Monaco says he sees the weekend as more than just 3 games.

“To me it’s sort of a preview of playoff hockey. Three games in a weekend when we’re battling in the division playoffs. Making sure that we’re getting all the touch points we need throughout the week, but also we’re staying healthy and are going to be full force for 3 nights straight.”

The puck drops for all 3 games at 7:30pm.
