Museum: One Step Closer to the Bighorns
Museum at the Bighorns new Executive Director Angela Roper and Operations Manager Chip King made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Pulse to talk on the upcoming exhibit that will explore the many histories of the Bighorn Mountains.
King said developing the upcoming Bighorn Mountains exhibit has been a long process to ensure the museum covers as many aspects of the history as possible. King said the company designing and building the exhibit, Warehouse 21, is based out of Cheyenne. Representatives from the company made the drive from Wyoming’s capitol city to see the mountains and museum for themselves.

The first exhibits scheduled to open will focus on the mountains and a rotating exhibit space, which will initially highlight Mr. Whitney and Whitney Benefits ahead of the organization’s centennial in 2027.
As the new executive director, Roper said preserving and displaying the many histories of the Sheridan region as part of the rotating exhibit presents challenges that she is looking forward to tackling.
