In her written report to the Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center, Clinic Director Heidi Huntley said visits were similar to last year with an increase in those using the walk-in clinic.

Regular clinic visits in October totaled 1,611 as compared to 1,634 in 2024.

There were 22 newly-established patients during the month, and there were 399 seen in the walk-in clinic compared to 320 in 2024.

She reported that Dr. Hagge has begun to see patients, saying it was “great to have him” in the clinic.

She said there was a large refrigerator malfunction during a recent Sunday morning, resulting in the loss of nearly 300 vaccines.

They are working with manufacturers to see if the clinic can get support of credits for the losses.

The plan is to budget for a new one next year.

The clinic dealt with the recent power outages by staying open and serving patients the best they could.
