SAGE Community Arts Executive Director Jill Benson stopped by Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to announce the new exhibit at the community gallery, celebrating the life of a man of faith who advocated for Wyoming’s indigenous population.
White Robe, is a contemporary art exhibition by celebrated Irish artist Brian Whelan on the life and work of the Reverend Dr. John Roberts of the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.
The paintings are done in a Celtic style, honoring painstakingly researched moments in the life of Rev. Roberts.

Progressive for his time, each piece tells a story of a moment in time of the life and work of Rev. Roberts, who was and is still respected by the people of the Wind River Reservation. A summary of the events in each piece has been printed and hung with the art in chronological order.
Benson said although the number of pieces is only 13, the empty space has been used with intention.
