The Civic Theatre Guild continues its season with the classic Samuel Beckett tragicomedy, “Waiting for Godot”, directed by Jordan Davis.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Davis explained he found the play while searching for something different and meaningful to bring to Sheridan.

Waiting for Godot is often considered the play that began the Absurdist movement. Widely considered an artistic and philosophical response to the atrocities witnessed during World War II, Absurdism is the belief that humans exist in a chaotic universe that untimely lacks purpose or direction. Many Absurdists believe the only logical response to such a universe is to love and laugh in spite of existence.
