Buffalo Agrees to Highway Cleaning, Maintenance
The City of Buffalo has entered into an annual agreement with the Wyoming State Transportation Commission for funding, and Mayor Shane Schrader explained what the agreement is for.
During last year’s adoption of the agreement, Mayor Schrader explained that the transportation commission offers cities and towns in the state with populations between 1,500 and 5,000 people funding for help in maintaining and cleaning the state’s roads and highways within their incorporated limits.
Mayor Schrader said at this year’s meeting that the funding received is about $20 per capita, with Buffalo receiving about $91,000 each year based on population.
The funding will be given to the city in two payments, one in July and the other in January of 2021.
