Sheridan County’s website could soon get a new design.

The County Commissioners have approved an agreement with Revise LLC out of Troy, Michigan (north of Detroit) to have the county’s website redesigned and implemented.

The county will make an initial payment of $13,275, but it could be up to $17,700 depending on what work is done.

County Administrative Director Renee’ Obermueller told the commissioners that web pages have changed over the years and the current one for Sheridan County is outdated.

“It’s been since I think 2012, since we revamped our website, and just looking at it there’s a lot of what we call plug-ins and applications behind the platform that are no longer working with what we have, and of course that’s technology as it continues to evolve.”

Obermueller says Revise LLC hosts more than 2,500 government sites including several counties in Wyoming.

The redesign project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

When Sheridan County placed ads soliciting the website redesign project, no applicants came from within the county.
