The Sheridan High School Activities Department has found their replacement for Director Don Julian who is retiring after this school year.
It’s a name and face that some people should be familiar with.
Kasey Garnhart who was an assistant AD at Sheridan High School from 2017-2019 will take over for Julian beginning next school year.
In 2019, he was named the AD at Rawlins and he is nearing the end of his 3rd school year with the Outlaws.
Garnhart is a 2008 graduate of Riverside High School, located in Basin.
The 32-year old was a 4-time Wyoming High School state champion wrestler and also wrestled for the University of Wyoming.
Julian says Garnhart knows the job is much more than athletics.
“He very much loves activities and loves both the athletic realm as well as the performing arts. He helped with the auditorium with music and performances and things like that and he’s had to handle that down in Rawlins.”
In his senior year of high school, Garnhart helped the Rebel football team win the 2A State Championship game, winning 21-20 at Big Horn in November 2007.
