Sheridan HS Soccer: Both of the Sheridan High School Soccer teams were victorious in their games yesterday vs. Campbell County.

The girls won at home 2-nil.

It’s their 3rd straight win and freshman Kara Erramouspe explains what has been clicking as of late.

As for the boys, they won on the road 2-1.

This past weekend, freshman Aleks Carroll set a new school record for most assists in 1 season.

He says he knows how to click with his upper classmen teammates.

Both Sheridan teams will conclude the regular season on Friday against Thunder Basin.

The boys game is at home and will be for the #1 seed for the upcoming 4A East Regional Tournament.

The girls game is on the road.


Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers won 2 out of 3 games this past weekend at home vs. Rapid City Post 22.

In Sunday’s game, the team was down 1-nothing going into their last at bat.

Owen Mathews led off the inning with a solo home run, and then later, Blaine Phillips delivered a walk-off bases loaded single to win the game.

Mathews says he was just trying to keep things simple.

With that win, Sheridan evened up their record at 6-6 on the season.

Head Coach Austin Cowen says the last 3 games provided a lot of scenarios that players needed to experience and for the most part, they did well.

The Troopers are scheduled to play this coming Saturday at home in a double-header vs. Lovell.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies game at home against the New York Mets yesterday was called off due to winter weather.

The 2 teams are both supposed to have tomorrow off, but instead will make up that game.

First pitch for today’s game is scheduled for 7:20pm.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche won Game 2 of their second round best of 7 series last night at home vs. Minnesota 5-2.

The Avs now lead the series 2 games to none.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Minneapolis.


NBA Playoffs: Oklahoma City won Game 1 of their second round best of 7 series at home against the LA Lakers 108-90.

Detroit prevailed in Game 1 of their series at home vs. Cleveland 111-101.
