Weekend Local Sport Wrap up

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers dominated in sweeping a double header from Evanston winning 11-1 and 10-0 their record now stands at 19-5 overall.

The pitching was outstanding with the Troopers staff giving up only one hit one the day, here’s Head coach Ben Phillips.

And he said they needed to play well as the games count towards seeding for the state tournament in July.

And at the plate the bats came alive after a slow start and they got several big two out hits.

Now they go out on the road they play two tomorrow at Jackson then a double header at Cody Wednesday, the next home games are Saturday when Cody comes here for two the first game will start at 1:00 and we will have them live on KWYO and 106.9 FM and our live web stream at sheridanmedia.com.

BIG HORN TRAIL RUN – The Big Horn Trail run will be held this weekend. The 100 mile race starts Friday morning with the 52, 32 and 18 mile races starting Saturday morning. all races end in Scott Park in Dayton, race cut off time is at 8:00 Saturday night.

ALL STAR HOOPS – The Wyoming / Montana high school all star games will be played this weekend, Wyoming players come into to town Wednesday to get ready to play Friday night in the Hoffman dome, games Saturday will be in Billings.
