City Eying Purchase of Golf Carts

The purchase of new golf carts at Kendrick Municipal Golf Course was an item that was discussed at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council study session. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City Public Works Director Lane Thompson, during a presentation to the Council and Mayor Rich Bridger, said the lease for the golf carts at Kendrick Golf Course expires at the end of the 2022 season. He said the City between December 8 and January 4, advertised a Request for Proposals (RFP) for replacing the previous fleet of golf carts.
Asking for direction from the mayor and council, Thompson presented two financing options that are part of the proposal from Masek Golf Car Company out of Gering, Nebraska. The Council agreed to move forward with option 1.
Thompson said that due to interest, option 1 would be almost $62,000 cheaper than option 2. The award to purchase the 65 golf carts will be considered by the Council at their regularly scheduled business meeting on February 7.
