On January 24, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in Sheridan County. Shortly after law enforcement arrived on scene, 20-year-old Kiley Green was arrested for an altercation she had with another individual where she allegedly brandished a firearm, threw knives and choked the individual. Green was charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and Battery, Felony Strangulation of a Household Member and Misdemeanor False Imprisonment.

Change of Plea

At a hearing in District Court Tuesday, Green, pursuant to terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, pleaded guilty to the strangulation charge. The State is recommending that the aggravated assault and battery and false imprisonment charges be dismissed as part of the plea agreement. If the Court accepts the plea deal at sentencing, Green will be sentenced to 3 to 5 years in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of supervised probation. District Court Judge John Fenn ordered that a presentence investigation be completed and scheduled the sentencing for September 28 at 9 am. Green’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set, with the added condition that she report to Probation and Parole to advise them of her guilty plea and to begin the presentence investigation process.
