The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, in their discussion with the city council, reported they were looking at two separate scenarios for the route of the Johnson County Fair and Rodeo Parade which is scheduled on Saturday, August 2.

Chamber Director Amber Eggers and Police Chief Sean Bissett explained that two options are on the table as of now, but a final decision will need to be made on July 19 to give organizers and the police department two weeks to prepare for the event.

The option changing the regular route will have the parade beginning at Angus Street, continuing through downtown to Fort Street and then to Burritt street to end at Prosinski Park.

The council approved the revised parade route, with the possibility of going back to the original route if decided on July 19.

This year’s parade will be on August 2 beginning at 10 a.m. and will have the theme of “Stars, Stripes, and Spurs.”
