Many 2025 Notice of Assessments should contain exceptions

Sheridan County Assessor Paul Fall made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse and advised listeners to look closely at their 2025 Notice of Assessment.
Exemptions that will be included in the 2025 property tax cycle include the General 25% Exemption. This is a 25% property tax exemption on the first $1 million of a single-family home and associated land’s fair market value.
The 4% cap on residential structures and 4% cap on residential land. The Long Term Homeowners exemption which is only applicable for tax year 2025 and 2026, currently, and requires the owner or spouse to be 65+ and have paid property tax in Wyoming for 25+ years.
Not all residents will receive each expectation. Fall would like residents to contact his office should they examine their 2025 Notice of Assessment and find none of these exceptions listed.
