Wyoming Game and Fish Sheridan Region will be holding their Season Setting Meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the Sheridan Regional Office.

These yearly meetings are informal, designed to provide and gather information from hunters and other public stakeholders. Game and Fish biologists and wardens have been gathering data and information to present in the form of proposals for the next hunting season. According to Wyoming Game and Fish Public Information Specialist Christina Schmidt, these proposals can contain recommendations for the amount of licenses issued for a particular hunt area, dates for the opening and closing of hunt areas and other vital information hunters may need as they plan for their season.

The meetings are also an opportunity for the public to provide comments regarding these proposals and any other information they feel may be relevant.

According to Game and Fish, the Commission reads and takes into consideration each comment provided by the public.
