Jo Co Commission Passes Budget Resolutions
Johnson County’s Commissioners passed a Resolution concerning their 2025-26 budget for necessary income for the county.
Resolution No. 748 was explained further by Chairman Bill Novotny.
Novotny further explained that it was necessary to raise money for the General County Fund through a mill levy in the amount of just over $4 million; for the Fair Board, a mill levy of just over $346,000; the Jim Gatchell Museum, a mill levy of just under $241,000; and for the Fair Board, a levy of just over $245,000.
The commission voted to approve Resolution No. 748.

It’s time to vote these clowns out of office. It is unconscionable to simply throw that kind
of increase on the backs of the taxpayers without a vote of the people. We need a change in how business is done!
