Aaron PalmerDuring their last meeting of the year, Johnson County’s Commissioners considered an amendment to their 2024-25 Budget to accept money from the National Opioid Settlement Fund.
County Clerk Jackie Camino gave details on the current round of settlement funds.
Funding came from the settlement with WALMART at just over $27,300; from CVS Pharmacy at almost $6,250; and from Walgreens at just over $6,700.

The money is intended to help communities directly impacted by the opioid crisis access necessary resources to address addiction and overdose issues.
