Clearmont Town Council Met Monday

The Clearmont Town Council met Monday night, August 18, with several items for discussion.

In his mayor’s report, Chris Schock reminded everyone that it was back-to-school time in Clearmont.

Shock reported on a zoom meeting he had with the Wyoming Business about Clearmont. “They are working on it,” Schock said.

Dave Engels of Engineering Associates attended the meeting to talk about the estimated cost of change order #11 on Water Well #3. There are still funds left over from the loan, and the board approved to go ahead with the project, which may include perforating the casing in hopes of being able to obtain more clean, safe water for the town.

The council also accepted the letter of resignation from town clerk Kirstie Auzqui, and the town will post an advertisement of vacancy with a job description for the town clerk position.

Next meeting will be On September 15, at 6 p.m. at town hall. Town hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1 for Labor Day.
