Buffalo’s City Council considered a request from Fire Chief Gomer Gammon from the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department to purchase needed equipment for the department.

Gammon explained what was needed.

Gammon said the department will be purchasing 16 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatuses (SCBAs) for a total cost of just over $122,000.

The council voted to approve the purchase of the SCBAs, which will require a future budget amendment that will need to be approved by the council.
