It’s about to become possible to earn a 4-year degree at Sheridan College.
At their meeting earlier this week, the College’s Board of Trustees announced that the Higher Learning Commission has given its approval, for the College to offer a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Management and Leadership
The four-year program is available fully online and offers students two specialized paths, which are either in Business or Industrial Technology.
College President Doctor Walter Tribley says each student will receive more than 200 hours of hands-on, real-world experience throughout the course of the bachelor degree program, as well as opportunities for networking, internships, and future career opportunities.
“In order to complete the degree, students required to have an experiential learning component, where they must find a person out in industry that is willing to work with them, a mentor to help them develop a real world project that they will work with the community college faculty and get that approved and so our students are going to be learning real world skills, solving real world problems as they go through it, to compliment what they are getting in the classroom.”
Doctor Tribley adds Sheridan College is allowed to start offering the 4-year degree in the upcoming spring semester, and it’s possible that a transfer student can earn the degree at graduation next May.
