Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Dominguez spoke on the improvements made to the Sheriff’s Office during an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse.
According to Dominguez, deputies and staff of the SCSO addressed the basement of the office as the “dungeon.” An unfinished basement that provided little more than some compliance training and storage space.

Former Sheriff Allen Thompson got the project rolling and due to that work, this past year’s renovations to the Sheriff’s Office have transformed the once bare area to a thriving office and training area.

The new area also offers plenty of private office space for deputies and investigators to utilize as a quiet location to train or focus on investigations. Another benefit is the development of a soft interview room in collaboration with Texas based non-profit, Project Beloved, who funded the furnishings.
