House District 40 State Representative Barry Crago (R-Buffalo), spoke to Buffalo’s City Council during their meeting Tuesday to talk about the upcoming legislative session.

Crago said the main topic will be the budget but there is one other topic that lawmakers will be concentrating on as well.

Crago said legislators will need to balance trying to get tax relief and reform while still making sure local governments can be funded to maintain essential services.

He sees other issues being addressed as a possibility although he admitted the short time available to introduce bills during the budget session will make that difficult.

Crago said local lawmakers such as himself and State Senator Dave Kinskey working together is a major benefit to both Sheridan and Johnson Counties.

He said Kinskey is an experienced member of the Joint Appropriations Committee and knows how to get things done and is very appreciative of his leadership.

The legislative session begins February 12 in Cheyenne.
