***UPDATE AS OF THURSDAY NIGHT***

Longmire Days has been given permission to proceed from SAG-AFTRA and events with actors will occur as planned. When organizers receive written permission to proceed there may be slight adjustments moving forward with the events, but they will be making those adjustments accordingly and will keep those attending informed as soon as they know via their website and e-mail for event ticket holders.

The actors that appear every year during Buffalo’s Longmire Days events are in town for this weekend’s festivities but may not be able to appear at any scheduled events.

That is according to the Longmire Days Facebook page that posted the news early Thursday morning.

According to the post, because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strike, the actors have been informed they can’t appear at any of the events they were scheduled to attend this weekend.

Longmire Days officials, along with the actors, are working to try to gain a waiver to allow them to appear, but have yet to received one.

The Longmire Foundation announced that events will continue as planned, minus the actors unless the waiver is granted.

The foundation, on the post, said, “We know you are angry, frustrated, disappointed, and many other emotions because we are too.”
