Game and Fish opens public comment on three chapters

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has opened a comment period and will be holding public meetings across the state to gather input on proposed changes to hunting regulations. 

Changes have been proposed to Chapter 2 – General Hunting Regulation, Chapter 28 – Regulation Governing Big or Trophy Game Animal or Game Bird or Gray Wolf Damage Claims and to Chapter 42 – Mountain Lion Hunting Seasons.

The department will hold a series of public meetings regarding these proposed changes. In Sheridan the meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Sheridan Game and Fish Regional Office. 

Seven other meetings will be held throughout the state at later dates. The times and locations of those meetings can be found here.

Game and Fish will also accept written comments through 5 p.m. Aug. 4, at any of the above public meetings or by mailing the comments to: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604 or online here.

Written comments shall be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to their September 2023 meeting to be held in Gillette.
