Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council at their meeting Monday night will be considering a distribution of contingency funds to the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board to help fund the Powwow that takes place following the parade on rodeo Friday. City of Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger says that aside from last year, the City has typically provided funds for the event.
The Powwow Committee has also requested $17,000 from Sheridan County and estimates the cost of the event to be between $50-60K. The Rodeo Board has agreed to pay $20,000 and Sheridan County Travel and Tourism has agreed to pay $5,000. The City Council will also be considering a bid award to Mountain View Building, Inc. in the amount of $2.7 million for the Cell 10 Phase 1 construction project at the City Landfill.
Another item the Council will be considering is a resolution to accept a Wyoming Water Development Commission grant for the design portion of the Northeast Transmission Main Project. The City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 pm Monday in Council Chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.
