Ron RichterAn annexation of property in north Sheridan was an item of consideration by the Sheridan City Council Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger gave second reading approval of an ordinance that annexes 12.98 acres of the Double Day Park. The property is located at 1475 Dovetail Lane in north Sheridan and is zoned as a Gateway District. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer provided details of the DoubleDay annexation prior to the Council’s vote on the annexation request.
Public access will be from the existing Oxbow Drive right-of-way and Dovetail Lane right-of-way to the east. The property is unplatted land that was left out of the Wrench Ranch – Tract B Annexation that was done in 2009. The City is proposing the annexation in order to ensure that all of the DoubleDay property is within City boundaries. Water and sewer lines exist in the Dovetail Lane right-of-way.
